Guests can select a wide range of items from this restaurant’s 10 buffet stations spanning seafood, sushi, hibachi, American, Asian and vegetarian options. The BYO can accommodate up to 400 guests. In the next year, Flaming Grill plans to open eight more locations in the Garden State. Open daily at 11 am.

Double Dyme Tavern, South Amboy

Restaurateur Michelle Gadaleta recently relocated to New Jersey to open this tavern, which offers a seasonal menu including chili chicken wings, penne vodka, street tacos, burgers and more. “Dyme Tyme” happy-hour specials are available twice a day. Open daily: 5 pm–2 am on Mondays, and noon–2 am the rest of the week.

Nellie’s Food Lounge, Salem 

This lounge’s extensive soul-food menu includes lunch specials, dinner and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from noon–3 pm. Enjoy chicken sandwiches, house-made mac and cheese, pork chops, butterfly shrimp and Nellie’s newest item: grilled salmon with mango sauce. Open daily 11 am–9 pm, and noon–8 pm Sundays; closed Mondays.

Inclusion Coffee Shop, Elmer

Inclusion takes its name seriously. Owner Amanda Vellon, who opened the coffee shop over the summer, employs individuals with special needs. Ghirardelli-caramel coffee, a cosmic brownie frappe, Heath-bar frozen coffee and peach tea are a few of the creative drinks on the menu. Baked goods, breakfast sandwiches and pastries are offered daily, as well as rotating specials such as grilled cheese with bacon and roasted red pepper aioli. Open daily 6 am–3 pm; closed Sundays.
