A hopping restaurant town showcases its top toques, a wine festival is hosted by one of the Garden State’s finest wineries and—finally!—the famous Chowderfest on Long Beach Island is back.

Fort Lee Restaurant Week: Set over a four-day span, this isn’t exactly a restaurant week, but the now-annual event sponsored by the Fort Lee Business District Alliance features more than 40 restaurants offering both special and signature dishes from Thursday, September 14 through Sunday, September 17. Heritage Wine Festival: The acclaimed Heritage Vineyards, located at 480 Mullica Hill Road in Mullica Hill, is hosting this festival Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24 from 1 to 5 pm. Wines from nine vineyards will be sampled; there will be food trucks, craft brews and entertainment. For ages 21 and up; valid ID required. General admission tickets are $25 and going fast. ChowderFest Cook-Off Classic: Sponsored by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, this annual event will take place from 11 am to 4 pm, Saturday, October 1 at the Taylor Avenue ball field, Ninth Street at Taylor Avenue in Beach Haven.
