Recipe: Hot Kentucky Christmas (Hot Buttered Bourbon)

1 ¼ oz. Angels Envy Bourbon
2 heaping bar spoons or teaspoons of *Hot Buttered Batter
6 oz. of boiling water
1 whole nutmeg

This is a “build” drink so, in an 8-oz. footed mug, add first the bourbon, then the two heaping teaspoons of Hot Buttered Batter. Slowly add the boiling water while stirring the mix until the glass is almost filled. There should be about a dime-sized window. Lightly grate nutmeg on top of drink.
 *To make Hot Buttered Batter: Heat 1/4 lb. of salted butter then add 1/4 lb. of confectioner sugar and a 1/4 lb. of brown sugar. Remove from heat and let stand for a minute. Whisk in one cup of softened vanilla ice cream. Add 1/2 teaspoon of both cinnamon and nutmeg. This will yield one pint of mix.
