Lulu’s Truck
The owners of Montclair’s Gioia Mia—a favorite restaurant of NJM readers—have teamed up with their cooks to launch a vibrant food truck serving authentic Mexican street fare. “We wanted to give our longtime cooks—who have been in this country for 20-plus years, cooking primarily Italian food—the chance to get creative and share their amazing down-home Pueblan cooking with the community,” says owner Mary Cumella. The truck, which travels around the state to breweries, pop-ups and competitions, was just awarded first place for best vegetarian taco at the ninth annual NJ Taco Festival.
