New Brunswick Restaurant Hosts An Organic Wine Pairing

Stage Left collaborates with Davis Family Winery for a special dinner.

Guy Davis, who with his wife, Judy, is the force behind the the benchmark Davis Family Winery in Sonoma, California, will host his first-ever dinner in New Jersey featuring his wines.

The dinner will take place at Stage Left Steak on Saturday, August 19 starting at 7 pm. The restaurant is located at 5 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick.

Davis, who began his wine career as a sommelier and working in retail, acquired his vineyards in 1997. The organic not filtered.

The Stage Left dinner will start with a tasting of Davis wines: the 2016 Sparkling Rose, 2015 Chardonnay, 2013 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast, 2013 Pinot Noir Soul Patch, 2013 Syrah Soul Patch 2013, and the 2015 Rose de Noir (a sparkling wine).

The menu, with wine pairings: crabcake and roasted garlic aioli—with 2014 Cuvee Luke Saralee’s Vineyard; roasted quail and porcini mushrooms—with 2014 Pinot Noir Russian River and 2013 Pinot Noir Campbell Ranch; flatiron steak on a salt brick with marrow—with 2014 Zinfandel Old Vines; lemon crème with raspberry, crumbled graham and salted meringue—with Late Harvest Viognier.

The price of the dinner is $129 per person, not including tax and tip.
