Openings

Kura Sushi, Paramus

This new revolving sushi bar at Westfield Garden State Plaza combines authentic Japanese cuisine with interactive dining. Via a two-layered conveyor-belt system, guests can choose their own dishes, while drink-delivery robots offer beverages. Kura Sushi also has locations in Cherry Hill Township, Edison, Fort Lee and Jersey City, with spots in Freehold and Lawrenceville coming soon.

Namkeen, Lake Hiawatha

Namkeen has opened its third Jersey location. The fast-casual restaurant blends Nashville’s fiery hot chicken with bold South Asian flavors.

Minoru, Montclair

The team behind the popular SLA Thai—one of NJM‘s favorite restaurants in town!—opened this new Japanese ramen restaurant on the second floor of what was formerly the beloved sushi spot Daikichi.

Gregorys Coffee, Old Bridge

This NYC-based specialty coffee shop has opened in Old Bridge, complete with a drive-thru. Conceptualized by founder and New Jersey native Gregory Zamfotis, Gregorys was created to disrupt the industry and help consumers to “see coffee differently,” by delivering premium coffee without compromising service or price. Old Bridge is the seventh New Jersey location; there are more than 50 cafes nationwide.
