Ridgewood Gets Its First Rooftop Bar; Other Dining News

Restaurant Openings:

La Terrazza, Ridgewood

The long-awaited opening of Felina’s rooftop is finally here. The new area, called La Terrazza, includes a full bar, plus plenty of chairs and tables. The rooftop-only menu includes pizzas (such as clam pie, soppressata, mushroom-zucchini and more) and rosé, spritzers and margaritas. La Terrazza is Ridgewood’s first rooftop bar.

Stack Creamery, Morristown

Already in Westwood and Jersey City, this family-owned business featuring fresh-made ice cream has set up shop in Morristown. Guests can create their own ice cream cookie sandwich by selecting cookie and ice cream flavors, plus toppings for the sandwich to be rolled in. For the rest of August, the creamery is featuring a special banana crème flavor.

Cafe Tros, Tenafly

The new Tenafly location joins outposts in Northvale and Fort Lee. The cafe offers coffee drinks, French pastries, omelets, sandwiches and more. Menu highlights include salmon avocado toast, strawberry French toast, onion soup and a turkey avocado sandwich. Open daily at 7 am.

Restaurant Closings:

Old Homestead Steak House, Atlantic City

The Borgata Hotel is temporarily closing one of its most popular restaurants for remodeling. The last day of service at Old Homestead Steak House will be Sunday, September 11. The restaurant plans to reopen later this year. In the interim, Borgata is rolling out an Old Homestead pop-up shop featuring select items. Slated for October, the pop-up will be open Tuesday–Sunday.
