Roselle Park Banquet Hall Opens On-Site Restaurant; More Food News

Casa Del Rey Kitchen, Roselle Park

Casa Del Rey has been hosting large-scale events like weddings, Sweet Sixteens, birthdays and more in its elegant banquet hall since 2022. Now, the venue has unveiled an on-site restaurant, Casa Del Rey Kitchen, serving a tapas-heavy menu made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Menu items include charcuterie boards, Wagyu smash sliders, vegan meatballs, short rib mac and cheese, and more. There’s also an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list.

modcup Coffee, Hoboken

This coffee company has opened a Hoboken location. Though it’s currently based in nearby Jersey City, modcup has Hoboken roots. More than 10 years ago, the company opened a cart serving fresh brews on the Hoboken waterfront, which soon led to three brick-and-mortar shops in Jersey City, plus an online shop selling ground coffee. Try out modcup’s drip coffees, lattes and more at the new cafe.

The Roxy, Jersey City

One of the latest additions to Jersey City’s vibrant dining scene is The Roxy, from the team behind nearby Italian restaurant Corto. A small menu features a variety of seafood and pasta dishes, including scallops with lobster and couscous, red snapper in red curry, and cavatelli with mushrooms. There’s also a signature cocktail menu and a list of wines and beers, which can be enjoyed at the bar or at a table.

Revive Cafe, Riverton

Back in May 2022, a fire caused significant damage to Revive Cafe. Now, two years—and lots of reconstruction—later, the cafe is back in business, living up to its name. Revive serves an assortment of hot and iced coffees, espresso drinks, teas, smoothies and more, plus pastries and bagels. The cafe is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Papelon Latin Kitchen, North Wildwood

Located on the Wildwood boardwalk, just across from the entrance of Surfside Pier, Papelon Latin Kitchen is a new fast-casual eatery serving Caribbean-inspired dishes. Menu items—available for takeout or dine-in—include empanadas, mofongo, arepas and more. The indoor and outdoor seating are limited.
