The week is literally exploding with 4th of July celebrations, but if you’re down the Shore and looking for a big celebration on the Big Day, try Oceanfest in Long Branch, from 10am to 10pm. Now in its 28th year, Oceanfest should have it down to a science: music, crafts, entertainment and games, and food from MozzArepas, Jake’s Crab Cakes, Rook Coffee, Everything About Crêpes—the list goes on. Long Branch recommends public transportation, but there’s parking if you brave highway traffic. Get there by midday to see what Q104.3’s Gerry Martire looks like in person and stay for the big show at 9pm. Get complete info here.
