Burg Finally Opens in Newark’s Military Park

The restaurant features hand crafted burgers made with a signature blend of meat from DeBragga & Spitler, chicken, lamb and seafood burgers.

Chef/restaurateur Chris Siversen of Maritime Parc in Jersey City has opened Burg at Newark’s Military Park, 55 Park Place, Newark (201-413-0050). The restaurant features hand-crafted burgers made with a signature blend of meat from DeBragga & Spitler, chicken, lamb and seafood burgers, as well as wine, craft beer on tap and cocktails. Other options are double-decker grilled cheese, disco fries, kale Caesar and arugula salad. For dessert a bag of cinnamon sugar, vanilla powder, mocha dust doughnuts.
Open daily for lunch and dinner.

ALISON NELSON’S CHOCOLATE BAR COMING TO ASBURY PARK
Watch for the opening in 2016 of Alison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar at 631 Lake Avenue, Asbury Park. This award-winning candy store for adults offers not only chocolate bars but teas, hot cocoa and bakery items. The first Chocolate Bar opened in New York City in 2002 followed by a location in Manasquan. The 2,180-square-foot Asbury location will include a large-scale cafe with a full-service menu, including their graffiti-wrapped chocolate bars, award-winning baked goods, truffles, espresso, cakes, bon bons, an old school soda fountain and hot and cold beverages offered early  morning until late night.

Plum Bakery, offering 100 percent gluten free products, has opened at 179 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair.
