From 6 pm–10 pm, Buckets Margarita Bar (located at The Reeds at Shelter Haven) will kick off their grand reopening with a Cinco de Mayo Party. The event will feature drink specials like $2 Miller Lite Drafts, $5 Imported Drafts and $7 Margaritas. Pair live music from Mark Wass with classic Mexican dishes like crispy Baja Fish Tacos, Chipotle Chicken Burritos and Shrimp Quesadillas. Sit indoors or outside on the deck overlooking the bay.

Comedy Night at Ramsey Tap Room

Enjoy a night of laughs at Ramsey Tap Room’s May the 4th Be With You comedy show hosted by Bill Scully. Starting at 7:30 pm, Scully will be joined by fellow comedians Kareem Green, Sharief Johnson and KP Burke. During the performance, sip on specialty cocktails like Toasted Coconuts In Winter (Jägermeister, Malibu coconut rum, pineapple juice), house-made sangria and an assortment of local beers, including Robot Jams IPA (from Brix City in Little Ferry) and Blueberry Ale (Three 3’s in Hammonton). Comedy Night at Ventanas’ Red Room

This Latin-inspired restaurant will host a comedy night in its intimate Red Room. Laugh it up with performances by Alex Carabano (HBO), Kevin Ryan (Are You Garbage? podcast), Usama Siddiquee (America’s Got Talent), Caitlin Peluffo (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) and Petey DeAbreu (Comedy Central). Seating options include cocktail tables ($30 per person), back booths ($35 per person) and VIP side booths ($35 per person; four-person minimum). The shows run from 7 pm–8:15 pm and 8:45 pm–10 pm. Wine Down Wednesdays at Son Cubano and Ventanas

West New York, Fort Lee

Every Wednesday, sister restaurants Son Cubano (co-owned by brothers Alexander and Edward Duran) and Ventanas (owned by Alexander) invite guests to unwind with wine. Vintages from around the world are available at both restaurants at half price. These wines include whites from California and reds from France, as well as champagnes and rosés from both. Both restaurants have Latin-inspired menus, with dishes like Snapper with coconut rice, Ropa Nueva (short rib and butternut squash purée) and Ceviche.
