Committed Pig, with locations in Morristown and Manasquan has opened at 339 Springfield Avenue, Summit (908-277-6222). The menu offers brunch items (pancakes, French toast and eggs) as well as pork roll and cheese, grilled cheese, salads and burgers. Open daily for brunch and dinner. Brookdale Tavern & Kitchen, a family-friendly restaurant, has opened at the former Yellow Plum location at 1099 Broad Street, Bloomfield (973-338-0329). Some menu items include: pan pizza, osso bucco, burgers, steak or chicken sandwich, salads and pasta.
Dulce Artisanal Pastry, an artisan bakery, has opened at 740A Haddon Avenue, Collingswood (856-942-0254).
James on Main Wood Fired Grill, 105 Main Street, Hackettstown (908-852-2131). Menu items include: chopped salad, burgers, Berkshire hog chop; wood-grilled salmon or locally sourced half chicken; steak frites; dark-cherry tart and crispy apricot doughnut. Sparkling and still water complimentary. Open Tuesday through Sunday for brunch and dinner; BYO.
Plum Bakery featuring gluten-free products, has opened at 179 Glenridge Avenue, Montclair (973-509-7586). All baked goods are 100% gluten free, made fresh every day on the premises and contain no chemicals, or preservatives.
Specialty cakes, macaroons, cupcakes and much more are featured at the newly opened Yani’s Bake House, 12-54 River Road, Fair Lawn (201-773-0007).
Mes Reves, Bloomfield: Their facebook page states: “To all my guests, After 5 memorable years, Mes Reves will have its last day service on March 26, 2016.
