Day of the Dead Celebration at Rosa Mexicano, Hackensack

The restaurant will feature a special menu of festive, autumn-inspired dishes, from October 30 to November 2.

To celebrate the Day of the Dead, Rosa Mexicano, Riverside Square, 390 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack will feature a special menu of festive, autumn-inspired dishes, from October 30 to November 2. The following additions, available during dinner only, will be on the menu: guacamole de Granada with pomegranate and toasted pumpkin seeds; enchiladas de mole blanco; beef enchiladas with a white corn and pine-nut mole, garnished with toasted pine nuts, red cabbage and roasted corn; buñuelos rellenos of deep-fried vanilla ice cream coated in cinnamon buñuelo crust, served with whipped cream and guajillo-raspberry sauce; and Flor de Mezcal cocktail made with Del Maguey Vida mezcal, agave, orange and lime with a chile de árbol and guajillo chile-salted rim, garnished with a traditional marigold.

UPCOMING RESTAURANT WEEKS
Jersey Shore Restaurant Week will be celebrated November 6 to 16 with participating restaurants offering a three-course meal with choices of an appetizer, entree and dessert for either $20.15 or $30.15. Other special events will be held throughout the week including a martini contest, dream dinner and much more. Information at their website.

Somers Point Restaurant Week will be held Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 15 with 14 participating restaurants offering a three-course dinner menu for $25.07 and/or a two-course lunch menu for $12.07. This event will benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and is dedicated to the late, South Jersey Foodie, Ed Hitzel. On November 1, Sip and Savor, Restaurant Week’s kick-off party will feature tastings from local restaurants, brews and ciders and other specials including: a used cookbook sale to benefit the ARC of Atlantic County; and ‘The Art of the Table’, an art exhibit and sale by Great Bay Gallery. A contribution of $10 is requested for admission to the kick-off, which will benefit the Community Foodbank of NJ-Southern Branch. For information visit their website.
