50th anniversary of Atlantic Cape May Community College:
The college’s 34th annual Restaurant Gala, on Thursday, March 23, will be held at the Avalon Ballroom at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center, 777 Harrah’s Boulevard in Atlantic City. It will feature food from more than 40 area restaurants as well as hors d’ouevres prepared by students in the college’s Academy of Culinary Arts.

Jersey City Whiskey Fest:
On Friday, March 24, at Harborside Atrium Plaza, 153 Exchange Place in Jersey City, you can meet distillers, blenders and whiskey experts of all stripes and taste every kind of fine whiskey as well as high-end rums, cognac and other spirits. Looking ahead to April, two restaurant events in Rahway:
A Taste of Spring will take place Friday, April 21, from 5:30 to 9 pm at the Rahway Recreation Center, 3 City Hall Plaza. It features 40 regional food establishments, wine, beer and live entertainment. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door. Info: rahwaytaste.com
