Events: Daniel Boulud at Crystal Springs

The famed chef gets top billing at the NJ Food & Wine Fest in March. Elsewhere, this month, enjoy a wine & chocolate weekend and two events for charity.

Dearborn Market, 2170 Route 35 in Holmdel, will host the 8th annual Frances Foundation Wine & Cheese benefit from 6:30 to 9 pm on Saturday, February 11, in its greenhouse. The Wine & Chocolate Wine Trail Weekend will take place at wineries throughout New Jersey on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12. Activities are scheduled at Old York Cellars in Ringoes; JG’s Winery in Colts Neck; Auburn Road Vineyards in Pilesgrove; Brook Hollow Winery in Columbia, as well as wineries from Sussex County to Cape May. Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 80 West Broad Street in Hopewell, will host a Gospel Brunch from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, February 25. Proceeds will go towards the creation of the Stoutsburg Sourland African-American Museum, which will be the first African-American Museum in Central Jersey. The New Jersey Food & Wine Festival will be held at Crystal Springs Resort, 1 Wild Turkey Way in Hamburg, Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2. This year’s guest of honor will be Daniel Boulud, a legendary chef who has won four James Beard Awards. Proceeds will benefit the James Beard Foundation, based in New York. Boulud and his team will cook in the Wine Cellar on March 31, presenting a dinner with wine pairings in collaboration with resort executive chef Anthony Bucco; per-person cost is $1,000. Boulud also will contribute to the Grand Tasting on Saturday, April 1; price is $135 general admission and $295 for VIP early-admission.
