Finds For Valentines

Eat, Drink, Love. Valentine's Day specials begin early this year, and include the weekend of Feb. 11-12.

 Time to get cracking, you Romeos and Juliets. Valentine’s Day is two weeks from tomorrow.

You can bet restaurants are getting ready: It’s one of their busiest nights of the year.

Just one night? This year, you can toast romance from Thursday, February 9 through Tuesday, February 14.

Here’s a selection of offerings:

Anthony David’s, 953 Bloomfield Avenue in Hoboken, is offering a Candlelight Dinner of three courses for $75 per person, from 5 to 9 pm on Tuesday, February 14. 201-222-8399 anthonydavids.com

Avenue, 23 Ocean Avenue in Long Branch, is offering a three-course fixed-price dinner for $42 per person on Tuesday, February 14. Also on special that night is the Valentino Cocktail, with strawberry liqueur and passion fruit puree, for $12. 732-559-2900 leclubavenue.com

Blue Morel, at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel, 2 Whippany Road in Morristown, is hosting two Valentine’s events: Sunday Brunch, at $38 per person, on February 12, with seatings from noon to 3 pm, and a three-course fixed-price dinner, at $85 per person, on Tuesday, February 14 with seatings from 5:30 to 10 pm. 973-451-2619 bluemorel.com

Morris Tap & Grill, 500 Route 10 in Randolph, and Paragon Tap & Table, 77 Central Avenue in Clark, are offering Valentine’s specials for six days, featuring dishes by executive chef Eric LeVine, a winner of the Food Network’s Chopped. Foie Gras Wonton and Pork Belly will be two of the new dishes on the a la carte menu served Thursday, February 9 through Tuesday, February 14. Valentine’s Brunch, at $34 for adults and $15 for children, will be served from 11:30 am to 3 pm Sunday, February 12.
