Foodie Signs of Spring! Seriously!

Spring Tea Party and Easter Egg Hunt:

Dearborn Farms, 2170 Route 35 in Holmdel, will host a tea party and egg hunt from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9. Registration for the egg hunt is limited and required; registration opens Friday, March 31. To register, call 732-264-0256 or visit dearbornmarket.com.

Spring Break Events at Congress Hall Hotel:

The hotel, at 200 Congress Place in Cape May, will host events starting Monday, April 10 through Friday, April 21:

The Case of the Missing Taffy Box will have children looking for clues and searching the hotel for the missing taffy box; 11 am and 1 pm on April 11, 13, 15, 17; $10 per person; reservations required by calling 609-884-6542.

The Never Grow Up Luncheon will transform Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom into the setting of the J.M. Barrie classic story, Peter Pan. Kids will mingle with their favorite characters over lunch at 11 am and 2 pm on Friday, April 14; $35 per child and $15 per accompanying adult; reservations required by Friday, March 31. Kids Can Cook, Too! will be led by Congress Hall’s executive chef, Jeremy Einhorn. He will show youngsters how to make themselves a full and tasty lunch. Best part? They get to eat what they make. The class-and-lunch will take place from 10 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, April 10, Thursday, April 13 and Friday, April 21. Easter Sunday Brunch and Dinner:

The Washington Inn, 801 Washington Street in Cape May, will offer an Easter buffet brunch from 10 am to 2 pm on Easter Sunday, April 16; $29.95 for adults, $17 for children.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration
: 

On Friday, May 5, Blue Moon Mexican Café will celebrate the victory that the Mexican Army—outnumbered 3-to-1—won over invading French forces at the city of Puebla de Los Angeles on May 5, 1862.
