Gary’s Wine Promises Grand Wine Experience

Three days of wine, food and philanthropy can be experienced throughout the state this October.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 TO MONDAY, OCTOBER 26
GARY’S GRAND WINE EXPERIENCE

Three days of wine, food and philanthropy will be experienced at Gary’s Grand Wine Experience to benefit Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Atlantic Home Care & Hospice, Interfaith Food Pantry of Morris County, Morris Museum and Morris Arts. This is what is planned:

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
In-store tastings with vintners and winemakers at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace in Madison, Bernardsville, Wayne and Hillsborough; free; noon to 4 PM.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25
Napa Vintners Symposium and Tasting at the Madison Hotel in Morristown with a panel discussion moderated by Karen MacNeil, author of The Wine Bible; 4 PM.

The following wine dinners with Napa Vintners will be held at 7 PM:

The Bernards Inn in Bernardsville with Round Pond Estate & Barbour Vineyards

The Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station with Hall Wines & J. Davies Schramsberg

Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen at Vail Mansion in Morristown with Vine Hill Ranch & Spottswoode Winery

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26

A Grand Tasting 2015 will be held at the Park Avenue Club, Florham Park; 7 to 9:30 PM; VIP admission at 6 PM.

AN AFTERNOON WITH GAIA GAJA
On Sunday, October 25, an “Afternoon with Gaia Gaja” will be held at Crystal Springs Resort, 1 Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg. Following a champagne reception at 2 PM, in the wine cellar, executive chef Anthony Bucco will present a five-course menu paired with Gaja wines in Restaurant Latour. $275, tax and gratuity additional. THIS LITTLE PIGGY IS COOKING!
Chef Karan Fischer & Lisa Davies, who is the writer of This Little Piggy blog have opened the Montclair Culinary Academy. They are offering a series of children’s cooking classes (ages 8–12) on Saturday mornings starting October 17 at Designer Appliances, 208 Bellevue Avenue, Upper Montclair, as well as an adult class on October 22. STEW LEONARD’S GRAND TASTING
A Grand Tasting of more than 200 wines will be held at Nanina’s In the Park, 540 Mill St, Belleville, to benefit Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities. 6 to 10 PM; $100 or $85 each for groups of four or more. BORDEAUX DINNER AT THE PLUCKEMIN INN, BEDMINSTER

FOOD FEST IN CHESTER
