Jerseyans Among ‘America’s Best Chefs’

Best Chefs America, a group that asks chefs around the country to vote for the peers they most admire in their immediate area, has released its second annual list. It's a list of thousands. In New Jersey alone 197 chefs made the list.

Jerseyans who garnered enough votes to make the cut include a number of familiar names:

–Scott Anderson, Elements, Princeton
–Andrew Araneo, Drew’s Bayshore Bistro, Keyport
–Zod Arifai, Blu and Next Door, Montclair
–Chris Brandl, Brandl
–Anthony Bucco, the Ryland Inn, Whitehouse Station
–Steve Christianson, St. Eve’s, Ho-Ho-Kus
–Thomas Ciszak, Chakra, Paramus
–Kara Decker, A Toute Heure, Cranford
–David Drake, Alice’s Restaurant, Lake Hopatcong
–Nicholas Harary, Nicholas, Red Bank
–James Laird, Serenade, Chatham
–Mitchell Altholz, Highlawn Pavilion and the Manor, West Orange
Luke Palladino, multiple restaurants, Atlantic City and Northfield
–Dan Richer, Razza, Jersey City, and Arturo’s, Maplewood
