For the past couple months, New Jersey restaurants have rapidly adapted to new restrictions and changing consumer needs, quickly shifting their focus to takeout and grocery essentials to keep us all fed. They may still be unable to open for business as usual, but many restaurants are still trying to help us keep our routines and traditions as normal as possible. And with Memorial Day around the corner, that means barbecue. Lots of barbecue.

We all miss restaurants, and want to see them reopen again soon. In the meantime, buying a Memorial Day barbecue package is one way you can support them. Here’s a list of New Jersey restaurants selling grill kits and special takeout meals, with order deadlines and necessary contact information.

Cul+ure Market, Asbury Park

Launched in early April, Cul+ure Market is from the folks at Cul+ure Collective, the hospitality group responsible for Asbury Park restaurants Barrio Costero and Reyla. The market offers fresh produce, meat, dairy and even booze for pick-up and delivery. And for Memorial Day, several barbecue packages are available. The Backyard BBQ Package serves 4–6 and comes with baby back ribs, burgers, hot dogs, macaroni salad, corn and watermelon, plus buns and condiments. The Poolside BBQ Package serves 4–6 and comes with marinated skirt steak, marinated chicken thighs, burgers, hot dogs, grilled vegetables, macaroni and potato salads and a fruit tray, plus buns and condiments. You can also get a special lamb burger package, or pick your own assortment of skewers and smaller barbecue trays. Order online here by 4pm on Wednesday, May 20 for a Friday pick-up.
