Montclair Goes Mediterranean

Openings, moves and coming soon.

Montclair is going Med.

New to Montclair is a Turkish-leaning lunch-and-dinner spot, while coming soon to Upper Montclair will be a breakfast-lunch bakery-with-takeout cafe that’s a spinoff of a beloved fixture.

Zeugma Grill (and soon to be Zeugma Grill + Wine Bar; BYO for now) has opened at 44 South Park Street in Montclair. Owner Mustafa Coskin, who also owns Above Bar in South Orange, is offering a Mediterranean menu with signature Turkish dishes, including manti, the addictive Turkish dumplings. Also on tap: shish kebab and a pistachio steak burger that’s getting a good early word. There are cheese plates, salads and pastries as well.

Open daily for lunch and dinner. 973-744-0074, zeugmagrill.com.

Coming this September from Meny Vaknin, owner of the hyper-popular MishMish in downtown Montclair, is Marcel Bakery + Kitchen, to be located in the old Cozy End address at 631 Valley Road in Upper Montclair.

The setting will be counter-style cafe, with quick-eat options, takeout and lots of baked goods. Like MishMish, Marcel will lean Mediterranean. Mark your dine card now.
