NORTH JERSEY

Benares, Wyckoff

Benares is open on Thanksgiving for dine-in meals and takeout orders. Vegan and vegetarian options abound.

Blue Morel, Morristown

Blue Morel’s Thanksgiving buffet features roast turkey, pig, a raw bar, salads, dessert and more. Reservations, highly recommended, are available between noon and 8 pm on Thanksgiving. The buffet is $99 per adult and $29 for children under 12.

Brasserie Mémére, Closter

The three-course dine-in menu ($72 per person; from noon-8 pm) includes escargots in garlic-herb butter, butternut squash soup, roast turkey, beef tenderloin, pumpkin crème brûlée and more. Thanksgiving dinner to go–featuring turkey, sides and a bottle of Beaujolais nouveau—feeds 6-10 people for $290, with additional add-ons available; orders must be received by Saturday, November 18, and picked up on Thanksgiving between 11 am and 2 pm.

Choc-O-Pain, Hoboken & Jersey City

Need to outsource dessert? Choc-O-Pain’s tarts come in flavors including pumpkin, apple, pear spiced almond cream, vegan chocolate ganache and pecan. All orders must be placed 48 hours in advance.

Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg

This resort is hosting multiple Thanksgiving feasts. The Emerald Ballroom ($72 per person), Diamond Ballroom ($68 per person) and Black Bear Golf Club ($58 per person) are serving a buffet of seafood, other hot options and dessert; the Canyon Ballroom at Minerals Hotel ($68 per person) offers a similar selection for its Thanksgiving buffet. Crystal Tavern ($72 per person) and Springs Bistro ($68 per person) offer a three-course Thanksgiving dinner, with Springs offering a wine pairing ($100 per person). Kites Restaurant ($55 per person), meanwhile, offers a three-course meal with soup, salad, turkey and dessert. Wine director Susanne Wagner is hosting tastings in the Wine Cellar—which houses the state’s largest wine collection—suggesting pairings with classic dishes. Reservations suggested.

Faubourg, Montclair

Faubourg is one of New Jersey Monthly‘s 30 Best Restaurants in the state, so you know its Thanksgiving offerings must be good. In addition to a dine-in meal from noon-8 pm on Thanksgiving, Faubourg is offering a family-style Thanksgiving dinner package for pickup. It includes butternut squash soup, roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, fall vegetables and more. Other items, such as shrimp cocktail, chicken pot pie and roasted salmon, are available a la carte. The package can feed 3-4 people ($245) or 6-8 people ($475). Orders must be submitted by November 18 and picked up on November 22 or 23 between 10 am and noon.

The Fox & Falcon by David Burke, South Orange

The Fox & Falcon, which celebrity chef David Burke took over earlier this year, is offering an in-restaurant feast—three courses with add-on sides—as well as to-go packages. The $225 package serves 4-5 people while the $400 packages serves 8-10 people; both include turkey, stuffing, butter-whipped potatoes, gravy, Caesar salad, vanilla-bean whipped sweet potatoes and pie. Pick up orders, packed in oven-ready containers, between 9 am and noon on Thanksgiving.

Grain & Cane, Berkeley Heights

Bring home a complete Thanksgiving meal. The $190 package feeds 6-8 people and includes turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potato casserole and roasted butternut squash. Other a la carte items—such as pumpkin cheesecake, upside-down apple cake and additional sides and mains—are also available. Orders must be placed by November 18 and can be picked up from noon-6 pm on November 22. Want to dine in on Thanksgiving? The restaurant is offering its regular menu in addition to a Thanksgiving menu.

Halifax, Hoboken

This restaurant in Hoboken’s W Hotel is offering a takeout menu as well as a three-course, dine-in menu. The takeout menu ($225; serves 4-6 people) includes squash soup, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, fall vegetables and pies. Orders must be placed online by November 17, and can be picked up on Thanksgiving from 11 am-1 pm. Options for the prix-fixe dinner include turkey confit deviled eggs, braised lamb shank and cobbler, in addition to special wines.

Jarana, East Rutherford

Want a Latin twist on the traditional Thanksgiving feast? Jarana, which opened earlier this year at American Dream, has you covered with a special Peruvian Thanksgiving to-go package, featuring a selection of pollo a la brasa, coles con chicharrón, corn cake, pumpkin tres leches and much more. At $145, it serves up to 4 people and is available for pickup on November 22 from noon-5 pm. Preorders close on November 18.

Jersey Social, Jersey City

Jersey Social offers three to-go Thanksgiving feasts, featuring varying quantities of turkey with gravy, sweet potato mash, honey glazed Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and flan. The $96 package serves 2-3 people; the $160 package serves 4-6; the $250 package serves 6-8. Orders must be placed by November 18 and picked up on November 22 from 5-10 pm.

If your celebration is on the smaller side, enjoy a to-go Thanksgiving meal for four that includes cream of pumpkin soup, kale salad, lasagna Bolognese, an herb-roasted half turkey and apple cranberry cobbler. The price is $232; additional side options range from $24-58. All orders must be placed by November 21 and picked up on November 22 (select your pickup time online).

The takeout offering ($75 per person) includes pumpkin soup, turkey, sides of potato purée and autumn vegetables, and an apple cobbler; additional $35 sides are available. The in-restaurant menu ($95 per adult; $50 per child under age 10) features appetizers (including pumpkin soup, an autumn salad, short rib tortellini and tuna tartare), entrées (including turkey, halibut and beef) and desserts (including chocolate mousse cake and pumpkin pie). Takeout orders must be placed by November 17 and picked up on Thanksgiving from 11:30 am-1 pm.

The Vreeland Store, West Milford

This historic eatery is offering a variety of takeout sides, including mashed potatoes, sausage apple stuffing, vegan stuffed acorn squash and more. And for dessert, choose from pies (apple, pumpkin, Key lime), cheesecake, chocolate mousse, macarons, cupcakes and more. Orders can be picked up November 22 from 11 am-4 pm.

CENTRAL JERSEY

B2 Bistro, North Brunswick

At the restaurant’s North Brunswick location, catered to-go menu options serve 4-5 people (10 pounds of turkey; $175) or 8-10 people (20 pounds; $275). All orders include macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, roasted French beans, apple cider-glazed carrots and more. At the restaurant’s Red Bank location, catered to-go menu options serve 4-6 people ($325) or 8-10 people ($425), and feature turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted squash and Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. For both locations, orders must be placed by November 17 and picked up on November 22.

Packages serve 8-10 people ($290), 12-16 people ($425) or 18-20 people ($520). Thanksgiving at one of New Jersey Monthly’s 30 Best Restaurants includes whole roast turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, squash pie, whipped sweet potatoes and more. Add-ons—including marinated shrimp, baked brie, and other appetizers and sides—are available. The restaurant is also offering to-go cocktails. Orders must be placed by November 17 and picked up on November 22 (2-8 pm) or Thanksgiving (9:30 am-noon). Packages serve 2-4 people ($249) or 6-8 people ($499).

Enjoy a fuss-free Thanksgiving at home with a catered dinner. The $180 Thanksgiving Box feeds 4-6 people (or add $45 for each additional person) and includes slow-roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, mushroom Brussels sprouts, stuffing, cornbread, cranberry sauce and gravy. Chef David Burke, who owns several restaurants in New Jersey, recently took over operations at the classic Bernards Inn in Bernardsville, giving it his Red Horse moniker. The restaurant is serving a three-course prix-fixe menu on Thanksgiving (noon to 7 pm).

Corinne’s Place, Camden

Named an American Classic by the James Beard Foundation, Corinne’s Place is beloved for its soul food. Thanksgiving takeout includes a whole roast turkey, three sides, cornbread and sweet potato pie. Packages are sold by size—$319.89 for 10 people or $479.84 for 15 people. Additional meat—including chicken, beef ribs, pork ribs, turkey wings and meatloaf—can be added for $75. Fresh Harvest Buffet’s dinner ($39.99 per person) includes roasted turkey, prime rib, a raw bar (shrimp, clams and oysters), corn bread stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes and pies (pumpkin, apple and pecan).
