NJ Tableside Dinner Boasts Array of Notable Chefs

Sixteen chefs take part in benefit dinner for the Community FoodBank.

NJ TABLESIDE DINNER
On September 17, The Westin Governor Morris Hotel, Morristown, will host a NJ Tableside dinner to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Sixteen chefs will create a five-course menu with wine pairings for 10 guests each. Chefs and guests will be matched at random. Cocktails start at 6 PM, dinner at 7 PM; $200.

Get Your Shine On!  
Tim Smith, star of Discovery Channel’s television show Moonshiners, will be coming to Gary’s Wine & Marketplace on Saturday, August 29.  Smith will be greeting customers and signing bottles of his Climax Moonshine at Gary’s, 601 Route 206, Hillsborough, from 1-3 PM, and at Gary’s, 1308 Rt 23 North, Wayne, 4 to 6 PM. The Huffington Post named Tim Smith’s Climax the No.1 best-tasting legal Moonshine.  The original recipe for Climax Moonshine is distilled from corn, rye and barley malt. It’s clean and natural tasting with a subtle sweetness and bold defiance.

FARM-TO-FORK DINNER
The Foodshed Alliance will host a seven-course Farm-to-fork dinner with wines at Alba Vineyards, 269 Route 627, Milford. The following chefs will be in attendance: Andre’ de Waal, Andre’s Restaurant; Mike Carrino: Pig & Prince Restaurant & Gastro-lounge; Bill Dorrler & Kevin Knevals, Osteria Morini & Altamarea Restaurant Group; David Felton, Ninety-Acres at Natirar; Jesse Jones: private chef for celebrities, caterer, host of Chef Jesse Live; George Mandakas, Big Bang Kitchens; Dan Rothman, Whole Foods regional metro chef for Northern NJ; and Nina and Jonathan White, Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse.
