The Cake Boss, “Buddy” Valastro has opened Carlo’s Bakery at 300 Rt 73 S, Marlton (201-659-3671). Other locations are in Hoboken, Ridgewood, Westfield, Red Bank, Morristown, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fu Restaurant, offering Shanghai cuisine, has opened at 14 Rt 46, Fairfield (973-808-5888); BYO.
Nonno’s Ristorante, featuring authentic Italian food, has opened at 401 Main St, Bradley Beach (908-433-0609); BYO. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 4 to 10 PM, and all items are made in-house including the pasta.
Palermo Cafe & Bakery, 389-399 Liberty St, Little Ferry (201-336-9818). Artisan pizzas, paninis, beer, wine, liquor, specialty coffee, gelato, gourmet desserts, cookies and pastries are available. The café opens daily at 6:30 AM.
Build your own burger including choice of bun, cheese, toppings and sauces (sweet and spicy-mango salsa anyone?) at the newly opened Red and White Burger, 7704 Bergenline Avenue, North Bergen (201-758-7958).
Rockhill Restaurant, 1800 Rt 70 East, Cherry Hill (856-424-4455) has opened featuring pizza, steaks, burgers, sandwiches, deli, soup and salads.
Shake Shack has opened a second NJ location in the Westfield Garden State Plaza, Paramus (201-291-8758).
Trillos 15X Bar & Grill, 1002 Riverside Station, Secaucus (201-348-1443).

PARK & SIXTH, JERSEY CITY
Park & Sixth previously at 364 Grove St, Jersey City (201-918-6072), will be relocating to 279 Grove St, Jersey City in the space previously occupied by The Merchant. Owner/chef Brian Dowling expects to open sometime in December. The original location will remain open until the new space is complete. We dined there last July and loved it.
