Hot dogs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Bound Brook's Amazing Hot dog; a Holiday Leftover Do-Over in Moorestown, and wine tastings.

Be Amazed

Hot dogs are now available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the new location of Amazing Hot Dog, 600 West Union Avenue, Bound Brook. This larger restaurant opens at 8 AM and serves egg sandwiches, hash browns, muffins, and Danish for breakfast. The Verona location, 148 A Bloomfield Avenue, opens at 11 AM and does not offer breakfast. Although tried-and-true hot dog condiments such as sauerkraut, mustard, raw onions, ketchup, and relish are offered for free at both restaurants, Amazing is known for its twenty choices of unusual toppings, including cream cheese, sambal, bacon, and salsa. The quarter-pound all-beef hot dogs are served on potato rolls and can be accompanied with addictive hand-cut twice-fried French fries or onion rings and washed down with homemade limeade or fountain sodas (with free refills). Questions? Owners Eric Eisenbud and Matthew Applebaum can be reached at 732-469-0389.

By the way, my favorite is the Jersey Breakfast, which is a hot dog wrapped with bacon and topped with a fried egg and melted American cheese.
