BREAD- AND CHEESE-MAKING CLASSES
It’s not too early to sign up for the bread- and cheese-making classes that will be held from May through October at Bobolink Dairy & Bakeyard, 42 Meadowburn Road, Vernon. Classes begin at 8 AM in the milking barn, where you’ll be introduced to the cows. You’ll then visit the creamery, where the entire cheese-making process will be explained. You’ll also visit the bakery to learn about wood-fired breads, and each student will have an opportunity to do some hands-on baking. A hearty lunch from the oven and cheese cave, along with seasonal treats, is included, as is a pasture walk to visit the cows (weather permitting). The class is $50 per person, including lunch.
