SUSHI WORKSHOP

On June 28, learn the fundamentals at a Sushi Workshop taught by David P. Martone, CCP, at Classic Thyme Cooking School, 710 South Ave West, Westfield. In this participation class, you’ll make miso soup, Japanese ginger salad dressing, miso dressing, gyoza with ponzu sauce, and California, tuna, spicy tuna, and inside-out rolls. 7 to 10 PM; $65. MELANGE @ HADDONFIELD
Joe Brown, owner of Melange Cafe, Cherry Hill, has opened Melange @ Haddonfield, 18 Tanner Street, Haddonfield, which serves lunch and dinner daily. Chef Brown’s signature Louisiana and Southern-inspired selections include: barbecued shrimp with cheese biscuits; crab fritters; fried oysters; sausage and bean soup; smothered chicken over crawfish mashed potatoes; jambalaya; and duck gumbo. THE BRICK HOUSE
The Brick House Restaurant, 179 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, has reopened after extensive renovations. Menu items include grilled sirloin, lamb porterhouse chops, and baby-back ribs, as well as seafood, pasta, burgers, and open-face sandwiches. A large banquet room is available for private parties.
