Table Hopping: Agricola Hail and Farewell

The Agricola Cookbook, by Josh Thomsen, the departing chef of the noted farm-to-table restaurant in Princeton, is now available—and you are invited to a book signing at the restaurant tomorrow, May 6, with some bites from the kitchen.

Thomsen and Steve Tomlinson, head farmer at Great Road Farm, which supplies much of the restaurant’s produce, will be at Agricola Community Eatery, 11 Witherspoon Street, from 5:30 to 7 PM.

Profit from sales of the cookbook will benefit the Edible Schoolyard Project.

Then on May 8, Whole Foods, 3495 RT 1 S, Princeton, will host a Mother’s Day Dinner and book signing with Tomlinson, Thomsen and Thomsen’s (also departing) chef de cuisine, Manlee Siu. (They are leaving for new jobs at the Eau Palm Beach Resort in Florida. The new executive chef of Agricola is Crawford Koeniger, already in the kitchen and soon to debut his opening menu.)

The seasonal menu of the Whole Foods dinner includes: Coach Farm Goat Cheese Potato Terrine; Cape May Dayboat Scallops; Braised Beef Short Ribs; and Bob’s Red Mill Teff Cake.

The dinner is from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Tickets are $50 for dinner or $70 for dinner and a copy of the Agricola cookbook signed by Thomsen. All funds will be donated to WOMANSPACE of Lawrenceville.
