Ten Years at Pluckemin Inn

A New Jersey restaurant celebrates a decade as classic dining destination.

Congratulations to owner Gloria LaGrassa and her staff at The Pluckemin Inn, 359 Rt 206 South, Bedminster, as the restaurant celebrated their 10th anniversary on April 19. Recently, they added a wine cellar that holds 30,000 bottles and executive chef Andrew Lattanzio has a new spring menu available to view at their website.

CARRIAGE HOUSE CAFÉ & TEAROOM, CAPE MAY

Visitors can opt for lunch or an elegant afternoon tea now that the Carriage House Café & Tearoom has reopened for the season at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, Cape May. The café menu includes several sandwiches, salads and tea sandwiches, homemade soups and quiche, plus the popular Classic Tea Luncheon and Elegant Afternoon Tea. Open daily from noon to 4 PM, through November 1. For reservations, call 609-884-5111.

RECENT NJ OPENINGS

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, a chain with locations throughout NJ, has opened at 985 Rt 9, Englishtown (732-780-2625).

Bella Luce Restaurant & Bar, 507 Franklin Avenue, Nutley (973-661-4300), has opened for lunch and dinner daily.

Brioche buns from Hudson Bread Company and meat from Pat La Frieda are used at the newly opened Brioche Burger Bistro, 14 Mount Bethel Road, Warren (908-222-2123).

Callahan’s with its motto: “So Big! So Good!” has opened at 10 Broad Street, Norwood, serving deep-fried, extra-long hot dogs, as well as sandwiches, burgers and fries.

Food Avenue, a deli offering sandwiches and subs, has opened at 109 North Washington Avenue, Bergenfield (201-771-7333).

Nirvana Indian Kitchen, 29 West Allendale Avenue, Allendale (201-818-2300); BYO.

Tuscan Table, 28 Diamond Spring Road, Denville (862-209-4295); BYO. Open daily from 11:30 AM to 10 PM. The menu offers family-style dining for parties of 4 or more, as well as Italian favorites.
