Urban Bricks, Paramus

This “brickin’ good” pizza chain is opening their first Bergen County location. Their build-your-own pizzas are made with hand-tossed dough, and baked in a Neapolitan-style brick oven, giving you delicious and crispy pie. If you’re in the mood for a dessert pizza, try the Nutella Banana Pie (topped with powdered sugar) or the Cinnamon Pie (drizzled with white icing) to satisfy your sweet tooth. The menu isn’t just pizza focused—an array of salads, pastas and wings are also available.

Porter, Weehawken

This new gastropub will be open in early October, led by chef Christopher Lim and executive pastry chef Tara Glick who will work together to bring unique dishes to guests. The menu consists of small, shareable plates, wood-fired pizza, coal-fired entrees, as well as a complete list of domestic and imported draft beer, wine and cocktails. Porter will also include a small cafe and bakery, where you can grab coffee drinks, pastries and ice cream after your dinner.

Ichiban To-Go, Jersey City

Every bite matters to this family-owned Japanese catering company, which just opened a take-out spot in the Heights neighborhood in Jersey City. There’s no dining at the new location—a fitting model for our times—and the menu covers all the classic Japanese takeout favorites. Items don’t just include hand-rolled sushi—peking duck bao buns, ramen tacos and sushi pizza are also included in their creative catalogue of dishes. Delivery is available via Seamless and GrubHub. Open Sunday–Thursday, noon-8pm; and Friday–Saturday, noon–9pm. Closed Tuesdays.
