Where to Eat This Thanksgiving

Read about what New Jersey restaurants are hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year.

The following restaurants will be open on Thursday, November 26, 2015 for Thanksgiving.

Agricola, 11 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, will be serving a four-course prix-fixe Thanksgiving menu from 1 to 7 PM. Reservations: 609-921-2798.

Anthony David’s, 953 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken, is offering a complete Thanksgiving dinner for pick up on Thanksgiving Day by 11 AM. Visit anthonydavids.com or, call 201-222-8399 for information.

The Bernards Inn, 27 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville will have two options for Thanksgiving. Seatings for the Grand Buffet are from 11:30 AM to 5 PM. Feast on oven-roasted, organic Griggstown turkey with all the trimmings as well as beef, seafood and pasta selections. Enjoy savory salads, charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, an elaborate dessert display and more. Seatings for the three-course prix-fixe dinner are from 11:30 AM to 7 PM and will include chef selections from their fall menu, including organic Griggstown Turkey, pork Osso Bucco, crispy day-boat cod, Swordfish and more. A three-course Thanksgiving dinner will be offered at Blue Morel Restaurant and Wine Bar, 2 Whippany Road, Morristown, from 1 to 9 PM; $59; children 11 and younger, $29. Reservations: 973-451-2619.

Boulevard Five72, 572 Boulevard, Kenilworth, will be open on Thanksgiving offering a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixins’ as well as their full menu. Reservations: 908-709-1200.

The Brothers Moon, 7 W Broad Street, Hopewell, will offer Thanksgiving to go. Information: 609-333-1330.

Catherine Lombardi, 3 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, will offer a holiday menu from 1 to 7 PM for $49.95, along with their regular a la carte menu. Reservations: 732-296-9463.

Chakra, W 144 Rt 4 E, Paramus, will serve a three-course feast for $48, plus tax and tip. A children’s a la carte menu will be available. Reservations: 201-556-1530.

Crystal Springs Resort, 1 Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg (844-207-3203), has the following five options for Thanksgiving dinner:

Grand Cascades Lodge will host a Thanksgiving buffet with live music from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM in the Emerald Ballroom; $49, $24 for kids aged 4 to 11, kids under 4 are free (tax & gratuity additional).

Restaurant Latour will serve a five-course tasting menu from 5 to 10 PM for $129 (tax and gratuity additional).

Springs Bistro at Grand Cascades Lodge offers an Italian take on Thanksgiving with a three-course menu for $59 from 5 to 10 PM; kids 4 to 11 $18, under 4 free.

Crystal Tavern will serve a traditional three-course prix-fixe menu from 11AM to 10 PM for $59; kids 4 to 11, $21, under 4 free. The a la carte menu will also be available. Add wine pairing for $30.

The Diamond Ballroom at Minerals Resort & Spa, Rt 94, Vernon will offer a buffet from 11:30 AM to 4 PM;  $45; kids 4 to 11, $25; under 4 free.

Ebbitt Room, 25 Jackson Street, Cape May, will offer a three-course Thanksgiving dinner with choices made with fresh ingredients from Beach Plum Farm from 2 to 7 PM; $65; wine pairing $35. Reservations: 609-884-5700.

The Frog and the Peach, 29 Dennis Street, New Brunswick, will be open on Thanksgiving from 1 to 7 PM, offering three courses for $58; children $16. Reservations: 732-846-3216.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern, One East Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, will offer a classic turkey dinner with all the fixings, as well as seasonal choices. Noon to 6 PM; $45 adults; $15 children 12 and under, plus tax & gratuity. Reservations: 201-445-4115.

Larimar Restaurant, 1311 Third Avenue, Spring Lake, will feature a four-course prix fixe menu for $68 from 2 to 8 PM. Reservations: 732-359-6700; BYO.

The Peacock Inn, 20 Bayard Lane, Princeton, will offer a three-course dinner from noon to 7 PM; $95. Reservations: 609-924-1707.

The Ram’s Head Inn, 9 West White Horse Pike, Galloway, will be open from noon to 8 PM. Reservations: 609-652-1700.

Rat’s Restaurant, Grounds for Sculpture, 16 Fairgrounds Road, Hamilton, will be open for Thanksgiving with seatings at noon and 2:30 PM. Reservations: 609-584-7800.

Redux: the Restaurant & the Market at Redux, 3 Central Avenue, Madison, will offer Thanksgiving dinner pickup on Wednesday, November 25 from 2 to 7:30 PM. For information, call 973-845-6263.

Renault Winery, 72 North Bremen Avenue, Egg Harbor City, will have two options for Thanksgiving: Joseph’s Restaurant will offer an a la carte menu and a three-course Thanksgiving dinner; and the Gourmet Restaurant will host a Thanksgiving Buffet. Both restaurants will be open 1 to 5 PM. Reservations: 609-965-2111.

Restaurant Nicholas, 160 Route 35 S, Middletown, will be open from 2 to 8 PM on Thanksgiving offering a three-course tasting ($75), four-course garden menu ($75), six-course tasting menu ($95, $155 with wine) and a children’s menu ($32). Reservations: 732-345-9977.

Stage Left, 5 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, will offer a three-course dinner for  $59.95, as well as their a la carte menu, plus tax and service. Reservations: 732-828-4444.

HEITZ CELLARS WINE DINNER AT HO-HO-KUS INN & TAVERN

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19
VEGAN THANSGIVING WITH SUSTAINABLE PANTRY COOKING CLASS

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20
BEER PAIRINGS DINNER
Garrett Oliver, acclaimed brew master of the Brooklyn Brewery and 2014 James Beard Award winner, will host a Beer Pairings dinner at 6:30 PM at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park. The event will feature a walk-around tasting menu, each course paired by Garrett with Brooklyn Brewery craft beers, including a rare “ghost bottle” not available for commercial sale. The event is a fundraiser for the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms. CEDAR GROVE FIRE DEPARTMENT CHILI COOKOFF WITH CHEF AMANDA FREITAG

Food Network’s Chopped judge Amanda Freitag will be in attendance along with master of ceremony Todd Pettengill from WPLJ’s Todd & Jayde at the Cedar Grove Fire Department Chili Cookoff at the Macedonian Church, 1050 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove.
