Oktoberfest, Pilsener Haus & Biergarten (Hoboken)
The Biergarten is running a month-long celebration. It kicks off October 1 with a keg-tapping and outdoor music festival that runs through October 3. New items will be featured in the Biergarten, and live music will be presented every weekend. Tickets for beer and food can be purchased online.

Dreamland Oktoberfest & Vintage German Auto Show (Asbury)
Michael Arenella is bringing his Dreamland Orchestra to Asbury. The event at the American Spirits Roadhouse will have a Biergarten and an Oktoberfest food village serving German sausages, pretzels and more. Admission is $25 on Saturday, $15 on Sunday, or $30 for a full weekend pass. Each ticket comes with a free beer and commemorative stein. Zoom Wine Dinner at Catherine Lombardi (New Brunswick)
The return of Catherine Lombardi’s wine dinner focuses on the popular Japanese spirit, shochu, distilled with ingredients that can include brown sugar, sweet potatoes, chestnuts and more. The Zoom dinner will be led by Christopher Pelligrini, who moved to Japan in 2002 and has become an expert on shochu. He will lead a tasting of four different varieties. The menu includes Jamon Iberico (Iberian ham), Beet Cured Hamachi (yellowtail), Bone Marrow Stew, Wagyu Beef and Lemon Curd and Meringue Tarts. The evening will take place over Zoom, and diners can pick up their food and drinks from the restaurant prior to the dinner. Email [email protected] or call the restaurant.

Celebrating its second year, Stern & Bow debuts a new dinner menu. It includes bar food (smoked bacon-wrapped wings), pizza (such as fig & prosciutto), meat and fish (fried chicken, pan-seared halibut) and sides (fried pickles, wood-fired mushrooms). There’s also a great cocktail menu.
