From 3 pm to close every Wednesday, Juniper Hill is hosting its popular Wine Wednesdays. Each week the staff opens one of its favorite bottles of wine and offers $7 glasses to guests dining in. (A glimpse at the menu: a Roasted Heirloom Carrots appetizer, a Miso Grilled Salmon entrée and a Chamomile Panna Cotta dessert.) Guests can also pick up their favorite bottle of draft wine for $20.

Friday Dinner Specials at Bell Market

This Monmouth County spot has announced the return of its Friday dinner specials. Updated weekly and designed to feed 4–6 people, meals include a side dish and dessert—plus quick and easy heating instructions. Kicking off the first special: Braised Chipotle Beef Tacos, Frijoles Borrachos (also known as Drunken Beans) and Churro Tres Leches Cake. Check the website for the weekly menu; pick up meals on Fridays, anytime after noon.

Rum Pairing Dinner at La Mer Beachfront Resort

Cape May • Friday, April 16

The Pier House is celebrating warm weather with a rum pairing dinner at La Mer Resort. Each dish in the four-course meal will be accompanied by a complementary Caribbean rum (not to mention a beautiful view of the water). Plates will include Caribbean Spiced Shrimp (with an Angostura 1824), Coconut and Macadamia Nut–Crusted Seared Mahi (with an 18-year Flor de Cana), Pork Medallions in Pineapple Rum Sauce (with Ron Zucapa, XO) and Vanilla Ice Cream in a Toasted Coconut Shell (with Plantation Isle of Fiji). Gin & Jazz Tasting Event at Asbury Lanes

After hosting its Good Old-Fashioned Whiskey Tasting event, Asbury Lanes is turning toward gin-based cocktails. Enjoy a tasting menu by Chef Michael Dunston while Other One & Friends performs classic jazz. The three courses: a Local 130 Scallop Crudo with a Yuzu Vinaigrette, Bierig Brothers Lamb with Minted Brown-Butter Radish, and a dessert of Berries, Cream and Shortbread. Tickets ($60 per person) can be purchased online.
