The editors at New Jersey Monthly do a lot of eating and drinking around the Garden State. We try new restaurants and bars, revisit old favorites and taste Jersey-made products.

So, each month we round up some of our favorite recent meals, dishes, cocktails and items made right here in New Jersey. Here’s what we’re loving right now.

Beverages at Death of the Fox Brewing Company (Clarksboro)

Whether you need a pick-me-up or a way to wind down, you can get a taste of both from Death of the Fox Brewing Company in Clarksboro. Open at 8 am daily, fresh coffee, espresso and tea are brewed and served all day long, while craft beers and hard seltzers start pouring at noon. This is the only roastery/brewery in the state, and it serves a delicious variety of each. Combine your love of both with the Moby Dick the Great White Stout, a coffee stout. —Emily Melvin

The bourbon sticky bun at Harper’s at Ocean Casino (Atlantic City)

An ooey-gooey treat, the bourbon sticky bun is an ideal morning starter to share at Harper’s at Ocean Casino in Atlantic City. At nearly 5 inches tall, this layered sweet roll is ribboned with house-made caramel and crowned with candied pecans. A generous swath of orange cream cheese glaze is the icing on top. —Deborah P. Carter

Mini pancakes at Buttermee Pancakes (Asbury Park)

For a delightful twist on regular old pancakes, check out the new Buttermee Pancakes on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. These made-t0-order mini pancakes come in either a short stack or full, with your choice of delectable toppings, from classic Nutella with fresh fruit, to s’mores, spiced banana and salted Biscoff cookie butter. They also have a build-your-own option—but prepare to wait in line, as this place is popular. —Jacqueline Mroz
