12 Fireworks Displays to Celebrate 4th of July with a Bang

This Independence Day, check out these family-friendly fireworks events.

Whether your July 4 plans include a backyard barbecue or hometown parade, make sure impressive fireworks are on your list of activities.

Location: Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson
Day: June 30-July 4
Coca-Cola July 4th Fest at Six Flags offers five days of patriotic fun and thrills including special ride times, parties, music, food and more. In the July 4th Fest Zone, park guests can enjoy games and giveaways. Each night, be dazzled by the brilliant fireworks display.

Location: Rutherfurd Hall, Allamuchy
Day: June 30 (rain date July 1)
Grab your lawn chair and head to this Independence Day celebration. Music and food vendors set the scene for a fun-filled night with a sky full of bright lights.

Location: Mercer County Park Festival Grounds, West Windsor
Day: June 30
At the 94.5 PST Freedom Festival, a pizza eating contest, weiner dog races, a car show and live entertainment will keep you busy until the pyrotechnics party at 9:50 pm.

Location: Next to MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford
Day: July 3 & 4
Commemorate our nation’s birthday at the State Fair Meadowlands with over 150 rides, concerts, entertainers and food. Whether you prefer to be up close to the action and view the fireworks from the Ferris wheel or delight in the lights from the ground, the fair gives the chance to view the show two nights in a row.

Location: Iron Works Park, Mount Holly
Day: July 3
Kids can enjoy bouncy houses, slides and carnival rides while adults stop by the beer tent at Mount Holly’s Independence Day Celebration. Grab some chow at any of the three-dozen food vendors and enjoy live music before flares light up the sky at sundown.

Day: July 4
Carnival rides, food trucks, beer gardens and entertainment provide non-stop fun at the Freedom & Fireworks Festival. Snoop Dogg headlines the event. The big lights show starts after dark. Don’t forget to tag your fireworks photos with #JERSEYCITY and #JC5TH.

Location: Skylands Stadium, Augusta
Day: July 4
The perfect way to celebrate our nation? With America’s pastime, of course. Take the family out to the Sussex County Miners ball game against the New Jersey Jackals and stay for a dazzling display after the game. Purchase your tickets here.

Location: North Branch Park, Bridgewater
Day: July 4
Calling all history buffs! Bridgewater’s Independence Day Family Festival could be just the mix of entertainment and education you are looking for. Bring your own picnic, or buy the food for sale at the event while enjoying a live Revolutionary War encampment reenactment from the Third New Jersey Regiment, the “Jersey Blues.” The first bomb burst is set for 9:30 pm.

Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority

Location: the Wildwoods
Day: July 4
Start off the holiday with the Independence Day Parade in North Wildwood at 9 am or dress up your pup for the Patriotic Pooch Parade. It all comes to a head that night for the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, starting at 10 pm.

Date: July 4 (rain date July 5)
If you’re looking for an all-day celebration, Florham Park’s Fourth of July festival has you covered starting with the flag raising ceremony at 9 am and ending with the fireworks at 8:15 pm. Watch the parade, take part in the family picnic and hop on carnival rides. Before the aerial artwork begins, stop by the Social Garden for a drink and listen to music by Bahama Mamas.

Location: Promenade Boardwalk between Pier Village and Seven Presidents Park, Long Branch
Day: Wednesday, July 4
A combined concert and carnival, the Long Branch 28th Annual Oceanfest promises a family-fun day. Enjoy entertainment from Goldenseal, Rave On! and Stone Flower, a Santana Tribute Band on the Great Lawn. Head to Garfield Memorial Stage for children’s entertainment including a magic show, stilt-walkers and a juggling unicyclist. Fireworks over the Atlantic wrap up the day.

Day: July 4
Join the Borgata for a fireworks spectacular in celebration of 4th of July and the casino’s 15th birthday! Public viewing area opens at 6 pm, fireworks begin at 9:20 pm.
