Annual Valentine Plunge
Feb 2: Plunge into the icy Atlantic Ocean in Manasquan to help raise money to help those fighting ALS. Participants must raise a minimum of $100. Prizes will be awarded to the team and individual who raise the most money and additional awards will be given based on the creativity of costumes and t-shirts. Downtown Bordentown Valentine’s Day Chocolate Walk
Feb 8: We love historic downtown Bordentown. On this tempting tour, you can explore all the downtown area has to offer, and have a special passport stamped at specified destinations to receive chocolates and earn the chance to win prizes. There’s a $5 fee to participate.

Asbury Park Valentine’s Bazaar
Feb 9: For everyone still strapped for Valentine’s Day gift ideas, the Asbury Park Valentine’s Bazaar may provide a solution. More than 20 vendors are expected at the event, selling holiday favorites like candy and handcrafted jewelry. Attendees are encouraged to stop by the Little Detour Photo Booth and Lounge to take commemorative photos with their loved ones. The bazaar is pet friendly and free to the public.

Cupid’s Chase 5K
Feb 9: Sign up for the Cupid’s Chase 5K to show your love for individuals with disabilities. All money raised will help provide the disabled community with assistance and opportunities for employment and housing. Chasers have the option of registering as a team captain, team member or individual. The fee for individual registration is $30. Cupid’s Chase welcomes those with strollers and wheelchairs. Even people who are unable to attend can donate to the cause. The 5K will take place in nine locations around New Jersey.

Victorian Valentine-Making
Feb 9-10: Travel back to the 17th century in this family-friendly event at Lambert Castle Museum. You will learn the history and traditions behind Valentine’s Day, as well as craft your own Victorian-style valentine.

Adoption Day at All Styling Studio
Feb 10: What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than welcoming a new love into your life? All Styling Studio, a hair salon in Denville, will host a pet adoption day in hopes a four-legged critter will steal your heart. NorthStar Pet Rescue will host the event, which will feature up to six adoptable dogs, according to salon owner Nicole Ribeiro.

Four Sisters Winery Murder Mystery
Feb 10: In a performance titled “The Love Triangle,” follow along as a crime and its aftermath unfold before your eyes. You and someone special will be treated to a formal wine tasting in addition to your pick of entrees, from chicken marsala to vegetable lasagna with Caesar salad. Dessert and a tour of the wine cellar will follow. Attendance is $50 per person, including tax and service fees.
