Catsbury Park Cat Convention

April 7-8: Asbury Park hosts activities and presentations during a feline-filled weekend. Attend the juried art show, hear from a panel of cat experts, play cat bingo and trivia and dress in your best feline getup for the costume contest. MCSPCA and Jersey Shore Animal Foundation will host a cat and kitten adoption booth. For an additional cost, enjoy a paint and sip class, a yoga class with adoptable cats and sign up for meet and greets with Lil’ BUB, Pudge, and Hannah Shaw, a kitten rescuer whose Kitten Lady project strives to change the way we perceive and treat orphan kittens.
Location: Convention Hall & Paramount Theatre, Asbury Park

Paws for Art 

April 8: Strut your stuff with your pup during the WheatonBarks Dog Show. Glass trophies will be awarded in categories including best dressed pet, best golden oldie, wettest kiss, cutest wag and prettiest eyes. There will be animal-themed glassmaking demonstrations, children’s crafts, vendors, rescue organization booths, an agility course and clay paw prints. Pet food donations for the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter are welcome.

Super Pet Expo

April 13-15: Animal enthusiasts will love the 18th annual event boasting more than 200 exhibitors addressing pet adoption, pet care and health, grooming, food and daycare. New activities include pig agility demonstrations by Pig Placement Network, reptile shows with Repticon and an Ultimate Air Dog competition where four-legged athletes jump into a 30,000 gallon pool. There will also be an off-leash puppy playground, a best dressed pet competition and educational programs with Wolf Visions and Rizzo’s Reptile Discovery.

Barb Feldstein Memorial Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest

April 28:  Now here’s something to bark about! The Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter hosts a day filled with raffles, live music, a bake sale, a Kiss-a-Bull kissing booth, a petting zoo, canine search and rescue demonstrations, dog washing, pet portraits and more than 70 vendor booths. This year’s special guest is Alladin, a rescued pitbull therapy dog.
