NJM Expands Offices!

Widespread joy broke out among the New Jersey Monthly staff this morning as two new offices--reflecting the latest in modular design--were unveiled at our headquarters on the Morristown Green.

Trying out the new suite of workspaces were our "A Team"–New Media Editor Ashley V. Neglia (left) and Research Assistant Ashley Howard.

Both seemed delighted with the new quarters. "Plenty of natural daylight and excellent ventilation," observed Ms. Neglia, who also writes the monthly Living Well in the Garden State column. "Being in front of the building instead of inside it will save me precious seconds when I dash out to cover the latest in lifestyle trends."

Ms. Howard proudly noted that the new additions "are very green. The future of the Garden State and, indeed, of the entire planet rests on everyone making a commitment to green in everything from recyclables to biofuels to energy-efficient appliances." She added, "I’m glad to see that here at NJM we practice what we preach."

Indeed, our forthcoming APRIL ISSUE contains a six-page fold-out on the latest green trends in all those areas.

And unlike the rest of this post, that is not an April Fool’s Joke.

In addition to the six-page "Go Eco!" report on green trends in New Jersey, APRIL contains our annual BEST OF JERSEY picks. A feast of best foods, feats, shopping, recreation, places, and people, the issue celebrates life in the Garden State from one end to the other and everywhere in between.

Meanwhile, about those "new additions," they appeared in front of our offices this morning in advance of Morristown’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We feel certain that many people attending the parade will be even happier to see them than we were.
