Join the New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation for a day of remembrance at the Empty Sky Memorial. Immediately after the remembrance ceremony, there will be a 5K run/walk at 10 am. Race check-in and T-shirt distribution will begin at 8:30 am.

The 18th annual Walk with Joe honors the memory of Patrick “Joe” Driscoll, one of the Flight 93 passengers who is reported to have helped avert the terrorists’ planned attack.

A service project bringing community and service members together to help with the maintenance of the historic island. Ferry tickets from Liberty State Park will be provided for all volunteers.
Parsippany-Troy Hills
Morris County September 11th Memorial

This candlelit service will include a reading of the 64 Morris County residents who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks.
Atlantic Highlands
Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook

The ceremony will honor the 147 Monmouth County residents lost in the attacks. The memorial will be open until 11 pm from September 9–11.
Jersey City
Hyatt Regency Hotel

The city will hold its fifth annual Jersey City Police and Fire 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive until 6 pm. There will also be an American Red Cross and Suburban Propane program at 10:30 am.
Secaucus
Secaucus Public Library

The town memorial service, held at the library’s memorial, will honor those affected by 9/11.
Sewell
Chestnut Branch Park

Gloucester County’s annual remembrance ceremony, “Patriot Day,” will be held at the Place of Reflection in Chestnut Branch Park. A bell ringing will take place at the time of the attacks in honor of the three Gloucester County residents who lost their lives.
Closter
Remembrance Park 9/11 Memorial

Closter’s annual remembrance event is held at the memorial structure. The memorial was designed as a sundial; at 8:46 am, the sunlight that shines on the structure illuminates a salvaged fragment from the World Trade Center.
West Windsor
Mercer County College

The ceremony will honor the 30 Mercer County residents who died in the attacks. Guests from Mercer County are expected to speak, and participants will lay a wreath on the college’s memorial bench.
Belleville
Belleville’s 9/11 Park

Belleville’s annual remembrance ceremony is sponsored by the Belleville Municipal Council, Mayor Michael Melham, and the township police and fire departments.
Woodridge
9/11 Memorial Park

This memorial salutes the first responders of the township of Woodbridge, including the fire department, police department and EMS services.
Ocean City
Ocean City Tabernacle

Ocean City will host “A Day to Remember,” which will celebrate the lives of those lost in the attacks. Participate in music and prayer until 7 pm.
Woodstown
Sneakers & Spokes
Sept 11, 6 pm; 26 North Main Street, Woodstown
A three-mile run and 1.5-mile walk in remembrance of the attacks. Following the run, the county will hold a remembrance ceremony at the Salem County 9-1-1 Center at 7 pm. Visit the race website for more details.

Memorial service will honor the six Cranford residents who lost their lives in the attacks.
Chatham

The ceremony will recognize the 13 Chatham residents who were killed in the 9/11 attacks. Attendees are asked to bring their own chairs, as no seating will be provided.
