It started as a gift. As her wedding day approached, the former Jennifer Dublirer embroidered Soon to Be Mrs. Ross Titton across the back of her sweatshirt, and the piece was such a hit that she personalized sweat suits for her bridesmaids. “The response kept growing after the wedding,” Titton says.
After moving to Cherry Hill from Boston two years ago, she sat for a manicure next to a bride-to-be who loved the sweat suit so much, she asked Titton to make some for her and her eight bridesmaids. Titton took the idea to the Web by creating Smarty Pants (www.smartypantsshop.com), a company that embroiders sweat suits, totes, golf shirts, baby clothes, maternity wear, and cosmetic bags for brides-to-be, moms-to-be, and anyone else who wants to make a personal statement. “My best friend just had triplets, and her suit read, Soon to Be Mommy of Three,” Titton says.
Now, that’s personal.
