Our Jersey Shore Beach Guide App will make planning your shore getaway a breeze!

Planning a trip to one of New Jersey’s 40 beach destinations this summer? Not sure what has changed since last season? Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.

New Jersey Monthly‘s free Jersey Shore Beach Guide app (download links are at the end of this article) has all the latest information you need to know in order to plan your trip, all in one place!

The essential Beach Guide comes in handy whether you’re planning a day trip, a weekend getaway or a month-long stay at one of the Garden State’s beautiful beaches.

Continuously updated by experts at New Jersey Monthly with everything from new events to dog friendly beaches and new restroom and changing facilities, this handy app can be downloaded to any smartphone device.

Here are just a few reasons why you should download the Beach Guide today.

1. Badge Prices
Beach bums, rejoice! The Beach Guide has all the 2017 beach badge information you need to know before you go. Consult the app to compare daily, half season and seasonal badge prices and to check which destinations offer weekday badge discounts.

The app breaks down the various prices for children, teens, adults and seniors.

Tidbit: Many Shore destinations offer free access for active military, veterans and their families. You just have to look for them (hint: in the app).

2. Parking Fees
Feeding the meter is never fun. Our Beach Guide will fill you in on the basics, like which locations have metered parking on the street, which have private lots and which locations offer seasonal parking permits. Care to save a few bucks and spend it on ice-cream instead? Scroll through our featured destinations to find a beach with free street parking.

3. What Exit?
We’ve all been there. You’re driving down the Garden State Parkway and a mini-panic attack sets in—you can’t remember if the exit to Point Pleasant Beach is 100 or 98. Worry no more! The Beach Guide is the perfect tool to use. Just scroll to the destination, click it and voila! The location information is the first thing to pop up on the page.

Don’t forget: Safety first—if you’re driving, make sure to hand your smart device to a passenger to check information in the Beach Guide.

The location-aware app fills you in on restaurants close to you and outlines the basics on what the dining spot has to offer—food, drinks, atmosphere—even providing directions and links to the menu.
