September 1: The Rich Reinhart Junior Clamshell Pitching Tournament, named for the founder of the International Clamshell Pitching Club of Cape May, is open to kids ages 6 to 17. Each player tosses a clamshell about 25 feet towards a small hole in the sand. Shells are provided, or kids can bring their own lucky clamshells. Windsor Beach (across from Congress Hall); noon. September 2-4: Sample brews and barbecue at this annual three-day festival at the Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport. Offerings include tender pulled pork, juicy brisket, smoky ribs and more. Wash it all down with an ice-cold craft beer from a selection of more than 40 options. September 3: This festival will be rocking the block in Wildwood’s Fox Park. Visitors can enjoy crafts, games, rides, food and live entertainment. Ocean Avenue, directly across from the Wildwoods Convention Center; 1-10 pm. FREE.
September 3: Head to LBI’s Barnegat Light for a shopping spree, where more than 70 vendors will sell handmade wares. This event will be held rain or shine. 19th Street and Bayview Avenue; 10 am-4:30 pm. FREE.
