Casino Pier soared above the competition to win our first Shore Attractions Shootout. Boasting thrills, chills, and even more thrills, the Seaside Heights funpark outpolled 15 other Jersey Shore favorites in our four-week competition.
Hurricane Sandy did a number on Casino Pier—who could forget the haunting image of the Jet Star rising out of the Atlantic? Fortunately, the boardwalk has made a complete turn around. This summer marks the debut of the Hydrus coaster, a 72-foot tall helix-stye roller coaster. The more faint of heart might enjoy classics like the Tilt-a-Whirl, the multi-level funhouse Surf Shack or any of the 24 other rides.
We pitted 16 of New Jersey’s favorite seaside icons against one another in a four-week competition to determine which is the brightest jewel of the Shore. It all came down to the Championship Round, pitting Casino Pier against Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. It was an exciting ride, and Casino Pier won it all.
Congratulations to Casino Pier, and thanks to all the readers who participated!

Just love the Jersey shore. Seaside heights is the best. Haven’t gotten down there yet this year but looking foward on going next week. Love there fireworks, beach, rides & water park. Looking foward to the wave pool.
