We are heading into the coldest months of the year. It’s not always easy staying stylish when it’s frigid, but thankfully there are so many good coat trends this season. Why not try a few? Consider everything from a classic puffer jacket to a sophisticated wrap coat. How about a fluffy, faux-fur animal print or a bright, mood-boosting color? Don’t be afraid to make your outerwear wardrobe fun, flattering and versatile.
The most important tip when coat shopping is to find a style that flatters your figure. Ask yourself if you want an ultra-tailored look or would prefer to leave room for multiple layers. Belted and tie-waist designs are often your best bets. And remember: You can always have a tailor make alterations.

- Puffer coats with fleece-lined hoods are a foolproof way to keep the cold out.
