Giving Back: The enCourage Kids Foundation Donates Under the Sea-Themed Care Room

Plus: Habitat for Humanity builds an energy-efficient home in Bergenfield, Goryeb Children's Hospital NICU receives a year's supply of infant sleep sacks and more.

1. Under the Sea

The enCourage Kids Foundation donated an Under the Sea-themed care room to PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital (CSH) in New Brunswick. Phil Salerno, president of CSH Foundation, left; Michael, a CSH patient; and Michele Hall-Duncan of enCourage Kids Foundation celebrated the room’s unveiling.

2. Building Better Homes

Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County and Samsung USA helped build an energy-efficient home for the Pimental family in Bergenfield. 3. Supporting Theater Students

East Lynne Theater Company received funding from Sturdy Savings Bank to help finance its 11th annual Student Summer Workshop. Celebrating were, from left, Lee O’Connor, Sandra O. Sieber, Michael J. Clark, Thomas Raniszewski and Gayle Stahlhuth.

4. 100+ Women Who Care

Good Grief, which provides help and comfort to grieving children and families, received a $3,000 donation from 100+ Women Who Care of Mercer County. Marking the occasion were, from left, Ellen Fahey, Courtney Hodock, and Debbie Blakely and her two daughters.

5. Supplying Infant Sleep Sacks

Chatham Twig, a branch of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center, raised over $10,000 in support of the Goryeb Children’s Hospital NICU. Funds raised went to a year’s supply of infant sleep sacks. Marking the occasion were, from left, Joanne Hessler, Frances Drigun, Mary Courtemanche and Carol Jones.

6. South Jersey’s Nonprofit Leaders

The Non Profit Development Center of Southern New Jersey recognized South Jersey’s top nonprofit leaders. Honorees were given $250 for the charity of their choice.
