Giving Back: Meridian Health Foundation Gala Raises $2.7 Million

Plus: The New Jersey Theatre Alliance receives a $15,000 grant, VetRest receives a $3,000 donation, Deck the Hall—Festival of Trees raises $22,000 for CASA and more.

1. Meridian Health Foundation’s 20th-Anniversary Gala

Meridian Health Foundation raised $2.7 million at its 20th-anniversary gala, held at Ellis Island. 2. Helping Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress

3. In Support of Two Playwriting Residencies

John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages at Kean University, left, accepts a check from Angie Tsirkas, vice president of Northfield Bank. The donation will support two playwriting residencies for sixth-grade students in the Rahway School District.

4. Raising Funds for CASA

The fourth annual Deck the Hall—Festival of Trees raised $22,000 for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Marking the occasion were members from CASA, Spectra and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

5. Supporting Theatre in New Jersey

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance received a $15,000 grant from Investors Foundation in support of its See Professional Theatre campaign. Celebrating were, from left, Ruth Zamoyta and John McEwen of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, and Dhaval Bhatt and Gordon Kline of the Morris Plains branch of Investors Bank.

6. Yoga for Good

iCIMS, a software company based in Holmdel, hosted a yoga session for employees. To participate in the free class, employees were encouraged to donate a toy for local children in need. The donated toys were distributed at the Second Baptist Church in Long Branch throughout the month of December.
