Giving Back: Morristown National Historic Park Gets $1.3 Million Check For History

1. Project Discover History 

National Parks Morristown

Members of the Washington Association of NJ (WANJ) awarded Morristown National Historic Park with a $1.3 million check to fund the nonprofit’s new Discover History Center. There to celebrate were, from left, Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen; Pat Sanfter, WANJ; Debbie Lynch, Crossroads of the American Revolution National Historic Areas; Eileen Cameron, WANJ; Tom Ross, Morristown National Historic Park; Bill Byrne, F.M. 2. QuickChek Serves Up Hope

3. Freedom For All

The Provident Bank Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to Freedom House to support one of the nonprofit’s halfway-house residents. There to celebrate were, from left, Nicole Wisniewski, Provident; and Glenn King and Dawn Knill, Freedom House.

4. A Helping Fin

Founder and director of the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, Bob Schoelkopf, left, and his wife, Sheila Dean, gave thanks to those attending the fourth annual Dancing With Dolphins event supporting the Brigantine-based nonprofit’s mission to rescue sick and injured marine mammals and turtles.

5. Realtors Rally For Good

Jacelyn Botti, left, of Weichert Realtors, presented Nancy Marino, center, and Kerri Whetzel, of the American Cancer Society, with a $140,000 check to support breast cancer research. Funds were raised during Weichert’s 15th annual Charity Golf Outing.
