1. Masks for the Museum
The Hoboken Historical Museum hosted its Black and White Masked Ball Gala, raising over $32,000 to support the museum’s ongoing exhibitions and education programs. Enjoying the masquerade party were, from left, Beau Kuhn, Marlena Duke and Ericka Sullivan.
2. Seth Meyers Hosts Gala in Summit
Summit Medical Group Foundation raised $1.1 million at its annual fundraising gala and auction. Foundation vice president Rebecca Levy, left, and her husband, Derek Levy, flank Seth Meyers of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, who hosted the event.
3. Doing Yoga and Fighting Against Breast Cancer
The Mills at Jersey Gardens partnered with Powerflow Yoga to host a yoga event in the mall’s center court. For a donation of $10, shoppers attended a 45-minute yoga class. The event was part of the Mills at Jersey Gardens’ and Simon Centers’ spring 2017 More Than Pink Movement in support of Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer.
4. Wellness Gala
Nearly 400 people attended the Wellness Gala in Mountain Lakes, which raised funds for the Connor Cummings Memorial Scholarship. Enjoying the day were event organizer Debbie Peterson, left, and medium and author Concetta Bertoldi.
5. Fighting Child Hunger and Poverty
Next Level Performance donated $5,000 to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey to help fight child hunger and poverty throughout the state. Attending the Women Fighting Hunger benefit for the food bank were, from left, Jacqueline Galella, Monica Hedden, Jessika Vocht, Susan Adams, Gail Martin, Chris Reppy, Stacey Serrano and Jackie Leming.
6. Take a Snack, Make a Snack
Stryker’s Women’s Network partnered with the Center for Food Action during this year’s Take Your Kid to Work Day in an effort to help address child hunger. During a Take a Snack, Make a Snack session, 200 children of Stryker employees assembled healthy snack packs to be given to school-aged children who do not get adequate nutrition on weekends and holidays.
