STYLE

Traditional diner atmosphere, with booths along the walls and wood tables in the center of the room. Photos of historic Burlington line a wall, adding to the vintage feeling.

THE SCOOP

The Burlington Amy’s is located a few blocks outside the town’s historic district. Amy’s has two other Jersey locations, in Cherry Hill and Long Branch.

THE MENU

The menu is large, and so are the portions. Choose from more than 200 omelets. There’s the Tuscan, with sweet Italian sausage, spinach, roasted peppers and mozzarella. The name of the Hatfield and McCoy will bring a smile, and so will the filling: country ham, sausage, onions, cheddar and home fries, all mixed in. Indecisive? Consider the Whale: single egg any style, with half order of bacon, sausage, pork roll or scrapple, plus home fries and toast. If none of those catch your fancy, build your own.

Amy’s specials include the recent Wafflewich: turkey bacon, scallion and crispy chicken omelet, topped with cheddar, between two Belgian waffles. There are a host of Benedicts, skillets, platters and French toast and pancake dishes, as well as a variety of burgers and wraps for lunch.
