Don’t Miss: Any crab dish. Start off with the house specialty, creamy crab chowder, (cup, $4.99; bowl, $6.99; toasted sourdough bread bowl, $7.99). The crab-dip-in-a-bread-bowl appetizer ($9.99) offers a creamy mixture of crab chunks, celery and parsley served with plenty of crispy garlic toast for dipping. At lunch, have the crab cake on a toasted English muffin ($10.99). Lightly fried and topped with wasabi mayo, it’s heavenly. The sandwich comes with chips, but you can substitute French fries ($1.50) or onion rings ($2). For dinner, try the homemade crab cakes entrée ($22.99), delicious super lump crabmeat with herbs. Not a fan of crab? Try the fillet of flounder ($17.99) broiled, fried or blackened, or sea scallops ($21.99) sautéed, broiled, fried or blackened. Seafood entrées are served with salad, potato and vegetable. Pasta dishes include fettuccini alfredo or penne a la vodka ($14.99) with grilled chicken ($17.99), shrimp or scallops ($22.99), as well as PEI mussels with marinara sauce served over linguini ($19.99).
Heads Up: A $5.99 kids’ menu offers five options for the little ones, from chicken fingers and French fries to mac and cheese, with ice cream for dessert.
The Scoop: Built in 1921, the restaurant was originally a live-in bait shop, restaurant, boat rental and marina.
